I started this blog in order to assist me in writing more and to document our adoption process, as well as the other changes and fun things in my life. I realize that a mish-mash of topics may not be the easiest for everyone to follow, but I am really hoping that this will be mostly for my friends to read and also have the topics that are of interest to others will just come up on a search engine.

One of the biggest issues that I face in this new project (as I imagine most people do) is the question of what level of detail to put out publicly. My previous writing has mostly been in a zine and e-zine format, which was much less spontaneous and more artistically oriented than personal, although it did get personal, that wasn’t really the point. I am planning on often not using names, including the name of the adoption agency that we have decided to work with. I know that most others in my life have a desire for more privacy in their lives than I like, so I will do my best to respect that and err on the conservative side.
